Today – Your Last Day On Earth

Your Last Day On Earth

I just watched this video of Steve Jobs where he talks about Your Last Day On Earth
What if you were given the news that Steve Jobs was given… What would you do?…

I have family members who have had that devastating news and as I watched them
learn to deal with it, I was impressed and motivated with how they chose to use their
remaining time here in earth.

Watch this very short video from the late Steve Jobs…

Your Last Day On Earth

“If today was the last day of my life, would I do what I am about to do right now.and whenever the answer has been no for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”

We all have to decide what you want in life. Go after it with everything we have got.

Enough of the excuses – stop letting other people tell you what you can and can’t do… what you are and aren’t capable of. You alone can control that.

Don’t ever stop believing in yourself… Time is limited for all of us… Make a plan and gt to work making it happen.

So if today was your last Day on Earth…. how would you live it? Would you change anything?
Certainly got me thinking….

  1. Hey! that is awesome,

Great motivation to get off the couch and do something if not for oneself do it for others who are in need.

    Have a great day,

    Vai from NZ.

  2. yes we all need a kick now and then thats for sure … Thank you Vai for your comment

  3. A pertinent reminder to make the most of the time we have left!! Thanks :)

  4. Louise Hammond says:

I would spend the day exactly as I have..standing by on mid wifery duties as my beautiful saanen goat Fifi delivered twin girls:) Absolutely gorgeous!!

    Great reminder though. Thanks Gail:)

  5. sounds perfect Louise…

  6. we often need reminding don’t we of what is important in life :-)
    Thank you Mark

  7. writing letters to my beautiful children and grandchildren – as I try to share and recall some precious times.
    Why don’t I start now?

  8. Thank you for caring enough to put this up Gail

  9. I think the more important, if not the most important , question is what will you do or where will you be if today is your last day.And this is perhaps the one question people try hard to avoid or theorize carelessly to their comfort.

  10. If today was my last day, everything would go back to love and those I care about. I would want to spend it with them. And if I couldn’t, I would want them to know that I love them. I would forgive those who have hurt me, and forgive myself for those I have hurt.

If today was my last, I would release everything and only hold onto love.

  11. your welcome Tui, we all need reminding of what is important in life :-)

  12. very true… hide our head in the sand so we don’t have to deal with it

  13. good point Teah :-)
    Thanks for commenting

  14. I like that video. I think I’ve heard it before, sometime ago, but it’s served as a great reminder, so thanks.

I think a lot of us run away from ourselves, myself included. It is our greatness that scares us as Marianne Williamson said.

The end – my last day on earth – I’d say thank you to the universe for having me and thank you to whoever sent me to experience life. Then I’d spend what’s left with my loved ones.

  15. Should today be my last, I don’t actually know what I’d do. I don’t think I’d like to know it was my last, to be honest with you. I’d just want to pass over without seeing it coming. One minute I’m there, the next I’m not.

  16. Gail, just to say I’ve been listening to that video everyday for the past couple of days.

Also, I decided not to wait to whenever my last day will be. I’ve actually started doing the things I said I would do. Why wait til my last day when I don’t know when that is, when right now I can do what I said I would do when that day comes.
