Is it okay to buy from MY Own Affiliate LINK?

Thank you for your inquiry. While it is possible to use your own affiliate HopLink to purchase products from ClickBank, this is a practice that we discourage as it can lead to payment issues for your account.

Please be aware of the Customer Distribution Requirement, which states your account must reflect sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers, and the sales must have been made with two different payment methods (either Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal). Note: PayPal purchases do not count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers.

This requirement is in place to help prevent affiliates from abusing the ClickBank Affiliate Program by using their accounts for the sole purpose of collecting rebates and/or discounts on their own ClickBank purchases.

Although the Customer Distribution Requirement only has to be met once for each account, ClickBank continually monitors affiliate accounts to help prevent affiliates from abusing the ClickBank Affiliate Program. Affiliate accounts are for earning commissions on sales that other customers, not yourself, make through your links.

Please note that if your account is ever found to be violating our Client Contract, it can be terminated and any funds earned through purchases through your own HopLink can be held.

CPA or otherwise known as “Cost-Per-Action” marketing is one of the simplest methods for a beginner to start making fast and easy money online! For years, this type of internet marketing was thought to be an “Insider Secret” that only the big players knew about. In fact, it was never really a secret at all. Most affiliates were too busy promoting traditional offers for commissions while the big kahunas were cashing in on a whole different level!

The reason being is that it is so much easier to do Clickbank affiliate marketing for instance. However in saying that, Clickbank is a wonderful place to start, and as I said before CPA has a big learning curve.

If you have been doing Affiliate Marketing using Clickbank, then you are part way there and you can do CPA.

This CPA affiliate style marketing requires consumers to complete specific actions in order for you to get paid. A few typical actions could be filling out a form for a free product, or signing up for a free trial for a sample product. In some cases, it involves asking the consumer to fill in their information to receive a free sample along with a small shipping fee.

So exactly how does this work and, more importantly, how do you get paid? As the offer promoter, you get paid when your web visitor performs a specific action. As a basic example, let’s say a company in a given CPA network wants to collect feedback on a new product they are introducing to the market. This company will supply you with a web page containing an offer where they agree to pay you $1.50 for each person who submits their email plus zip code into that offer. Your job is to simply direct traffic to that web page and earn $1.50 for each person who fills in their email and zip code!

That example is a fairly standard type of promotion. Other offers pay as much  as $40 for a Form Fill. Usually when the payout is higher, the offer may require the customer to fill in more information or ask for a small upfront shipping and handling payment.

In essence, you are simply a traffic broker. You purchase traffic (or use free traffic methods) and send it to a CPA offer page, and then get paid based on how well the offer converts. Sounds very simply doesn’t it? It can be very easy, but generally it can be a little more difficult than most online marketers tell you.

The main reason is because it’s so profitable, therefore, CPA marketing can be very competitive. For a beginner, this can be intimidating when attempting to compete with super-affiliates that consistently make $5000 to $10,000 a day running CPA campaigns. If you’re new to this type of marketing, you will be up against all that competition, and it can be a little challenging.

The truth is, a lot of the beginners get frustrated, then give up when they realise that CPA affiliate marketing can be difficult plus expensive.
