How to Use Pinterest
In case you’ve been living in a mountain cave in some distant land for the past couple of months, you maybe totally unaware of the latest social media site to hit us all… it’s called Pinterest it is a relatively new social networking site that allows users to create online image collages, then quickly and easily share those collages — called “pinboards” — with other Pinterest users.
It’s fun, easy, and catching on like wildfire right now. Infact it is down right addictive. I get on there and I can’t stop. My children were using it long before me and thy kept telling me to go look at their boards. As they are all getting married in the next 9 months they have all been busy pinning… it’s it a lot of fun.
Part of Pinterest’s appeal is that it’s beautiful.
It really is, especially any of the food boards, they just make you want to eat.
Everything looks better on Pinterest thats for sure.So here we go,enter the lovely world of Pinterest, and all the troubles of your day-to-day life just seem to slip away in a stream of perfect little black dresses, puppies, and clean and perfect children who never seem to get dirty or mouth off to their parents.
Where pets look adorable, bodies are perfect, houses look amazing, quotes seems to be put up just for me, right there, right now 
It’s a great world to escape to and whats more you don’t even need to write anything just ohhhh and ahhhh to yourself, press the repin button and you are good to go girl ….
Because it’s image-based, the core of Pinterest is overwhelmingly positive. I like to think of Pinterest as Facebook without the whining, and at present without the bad language, that’s if you get that.
Yes, Pinterest is beautiful. And yes, its users love it. But don’t let all the hearts and flowers fool you. Behind those lovely images, Pinterest is fast becoming a heavy hitting marketing tool for brands and businesses … like yours.
What is Pinterest and why should I care?
Once you’ve got a Pinterest account, you can create online collages (“boards”) for different topics you’re interested in, and then add images and videos to your boards by “pinning” them (the equivalent of using glue sticks on old-school vision boards, but faster, slicker, and considerably cooler.)
Pinterest has nearly five million users, and is rapidly growing. Nearly 1.5 million unique users visit Pinterest daily, spending an average of 15 minutes a day on the site. Those are incredible stats, I guess by the time I post this that would have increased by thousands. I am sure once you start on Pinterest you won’t be able to stop and before you know it you will be showing people How To Use Pinterest.

In January 2012, Pinterest drove greater traffic to websites than LinkedIn, Google Plus, Reddit, and Youtube — combined. I have seen a huge difference in traffic from Pinterest to my main website. How to use Pinterest as a Marketing Tool.
That’s the question that most people have. Well there are some do’s and don’t that’s for sure. I have a video below that will explain some but really it comes down to the rule of life “don’t do to others what you don’t want them to do to you”
It is very easy in Pinterest to abuse the system but I am sure if you do you will be punished quickly. Your account will disappear and also people will not stay around as friends for too long either.
Don’t spam people’s pins and boards… some just keep doing it over and over I know well good news unfollow them. I am a new member
I wondered whether I should post, as I have read their terms for that reason I wont join. The concept is great, the rules are gastly and take away your rights. Not very impressed we are just like sheep sometimes with these sites. Your right, its pretty. Thats true. I am concerned for more copyright and ownership rights and legality, they really put me off with all that stuff unfortunately. Maybe if they review again i will look again. It has over taken linked in, pretty amazing stats.

anyway everyone has a choice. But let me assure you that pinterest has no more details etc on you than Facebook… or ability to take and share 
well really it does not matter what you sign up to online as you lose control over everything once you put something online. So no matter if, its Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest or anything else once its up there its fair game. I know my software is posted everywhere for free… so its the medium we use … people will atke and use whatever when ever… so to me I am not too worried

I’ve been hearing about pinterest for months, but had no clue what it was. So basically its the next it thing in social media, kinda like facebook took over myspace, it will start being the bigger social media platform?
Yes Pinterest is the next big thing… will see what happens with it… I cant say it has made me much money if any but it does get me traffic.

Still not totally sure how it will get me traffic. I run a blog so will start trying to pin my more widely read post and see if it brings me more traffic. I dont sell, but hope for ad clicks to just break even and pay for hosting. If this indeed brings traffic it might bring an ad click.
Guess I need to butter up to some women that have tons of followers on pinterest. This way they might repin my pins settiong off a chain reaction from their followers! Ok, might be a dream but it doesn’t hurt to dream. One post goes viral and your websites off to the bank.
Its still kind of new so it has time to expand. But do you ever see them adding a place to make apps for pinterest kind of like facebook? That links your pin board and website so people can follow you with ease.

well if you put your web address into the pin then people will often come back to site or facebook page where ever you send them to check you out and see whatelse you have for them. So its a great idea. Just another tool really

Hate when I follow someone as they just followed me, and then alls they do is pin stuff from there website. Its like dang do you not even look at others boards? IE Its Social Media not a You media!
