Google + is the new place to be for many and the Hangout place is where many are doing business, sharing stories and generally having a good time. You can hang out with your buddies or your work mates, family or friends. It’s all there for you. I think it is an amazing resource for people who belong to MLM companies where they can get a group of people together and share the story or share the business opportunity.

3 Reasons to Consider a Google Hangout

Your prospects are already here! Video conferencing has been available for a while, but Google+ Hangouts takes it to where people are.

Here are some ways you can use Hangouts:

#1: Part of the sales process: You could invite people who are already in your sales pipeline to hang out. Not to put a high-pressure sales speech on them. Just to further the relationship.

To make it more intriguing for people to join, try naming the Hangout “Overcoming _________,” where the blank is filled in with a key problem you know your prospects tend to have.

#2: Office hours: College professors have standing office hours—times students can be sure to see them at their desk. Why don’t you? You could set up a standing weekly or monthly Hangout as a way to increase customer service or to keep in touch with your staff.

#3: Fireside chats: Everyone seems to want time with the CEO, so why not give it? “Town hall”–style conference calls have been popular in recent years, but they are conducted over the phone. What if you were to set up a standing quarterly time for people to actually hear from your CEO? And more than hear, they’ll be able to see and interact.

Hangouts could be used by colleges to communicate with incoming students, or alumni, or even current students or their parents. Or you could use this as a way for your board and investors to interact with the CEO between meetings. If you have a circle of “investors” and only invite them, they should be the only ones who see the invitation………

How To Create, Edit and Share Video In Minutes

The reason most people don’t use Video in their marketing is because they don’t know How to Create, Edit and Share Video in Minutes, for some it takes hours. I know some videos I have put together where I am the “Talking Head” as we say, I have done anything up to 50 takes, it is so frustrating, and I am sure many of you will know what I mean. I remember a friend of mine taking “Take after Take” to get something perfect , that is enough to put anyone off doing video, especially if you are going to be the Star Attraction :-)

How ever you having to be the Star Attraction is not always how you need to do a video. There are so many things you can do with video. I have actually written another blog with a list of all the different ways you can use the videos you create so you can go over to that post later and check it out. Many of you will know of lots of people out there who got their start to Stardom through putting a video up on Youtube. It is completely amazing. I think of the many 100′s of students I have taught how to:

Build Websites
How to build Fanpages
How to find Keywords
How to transfer domain names
How to make videos
How to use Facebook, Twitter, Youtube
How to use a coffee machine (yes done that as well)

….so many things, all through video.  We just love video.  We need to use it in every part of our promotions… it does not matter if we are promoting ourselves, our brand or product or service we need to be using video. But as said earlier some people don’t want to use it because it is all to hard … but it’s not really hard.

Video is fast becoming the most effective traffic-generation tool online today… And YouTube is the top of the lead-generation sites. Search engines love videos, so it’s often much easier to show up on the first page of search engine results when video is used instead of text. People are 41% more likely to click on a video link in search engine results, than on a text link (like for a blog, article, or website).

What’s new in Social Media? – New Facebook Timeline for New Zealand

There is actually so many new things I am finding it hard to keep up, one other new thing that has happened in my country New Zealand is the Facebook has rolled out the Timeline here to the whole country. That’s pretty exciting it was decided that we are a big enough small enough country to test out the new Facebook Time line on. Even though I have been using it for sometime lots of people have loved being able to take it up now. Now I know it all looks a bit simplistic but the thing is it is simplistic. You just need to follow steps and then it all comes together.

So in answer to questions above…

  1. where do I start?
  2. how do I find a product?
  3. how do I get paid?
  4. do I have to have my own product?
  5. can I make money with affiliate marketing?
  6. do I need to keep stock? 
  7. do I sell ebooks, software or physical product?

1. Where do you start? Find the niche, found out what you want to build your site around. There is a lot going on in the world today, people want answers to all sorts of things so go find out what people want to know, then provide the answer for them.

2. How do I find a product? In the How to do affiliate marketing infographic above there is a list of places you can go and find a product to promote so go there and see what you can find to sell.

3. How do I get paid? Well each place is a little different, some pay you into your account, some into Paypal and that’s the best way for me, some send a cheque. So read their fine print and find out what they do.

4. Do I have to have my own product? no you don’t just use someone else’s especially when starting out. Then down the track get your own product. Then instead of earning say 50% you earn 100% of the sales price.

5. Can I make money with Affiliate Marketing? Yes you can, you just have to do it right. It is a good idea to follow a system and I teach you a 7 Step System with the IMM Academy.

6. Do I need stock or a warehouse? No you don’t you use other peoples warehouses or you sell down loadable products. You can go and open an account at Clickbank and set yourself up to sell products from there.

7. Do I sell ebooks, software or physical product? you can sell whatever suits you. I would start off with Digital downloads it’s just easier when you are starting out.
